Separated by a tragic car crash, this dog and her owner had a miraculous reunion after she survived several months in the Arizona desert.
While driving on the highway near New River, Rose Sharman and her dog ILY (“I Love You”) were involved in a serious car accident after her RV’s tire blew. Both Rose and Ily were thrown through the windshield and Rose’s other dog died. Rose was air-lifted to the hospital and ILY ran away and disappeared into the desert.
Rose could not go out and search for ILY herself so friends, family and strangers pulled together to look for Rose’s baby. After two months and three days of looking, she was miraculously found alive. It appears ILY had survived with the help of another dog (who was later reunited with his owner too). ILY had lost a lot of weight, but other than that, the 1-year-old dog was in good shape.
Rose was still wheelchair-bound when the two were reunited. The emotional moment when ILY recognizes Rose and the two embrace was caught on video. I’m so glad both survived their terrible ordeals and are back together!
