WWII Veterans Spontaneously Cheered By Travelers When They Enter Airport

On March 23, 2012 at Reagan National Airport, a US Air gate attendant announced to a quiet crowd that an Honor Flight of WWII veterans was going to arrive. She then asked if anyone would help greet the veterans. Chris Muller was afraid that people would ignore the announcement, but he could not have been more wrong.

Instead, people from all over the terminal flocked over to the gate and gave the veterans a well-deserved round of applause. According to Chris, for a full 20 minutes, the veterans who stepped into the terminal were met with cheers and by people wanting to shake their hands and personally thank them.

Share this wonderful warm greeting and show of respect with your friends and family!

It was a very festive occasion at the same airport during another Honor Flight, when WWII vets took to dancing in the terminal!
