Linda and Philip McNamara were on a boat near Mount Tavurvur in Papua New Guinea on September 2, 2014 when they caught the volcano erupting. In the video, a sonic boom can be heard and seen blasting through the clouds!
The explosion comes a week after the volcano spewed lava hundreds of feet in the air and a plume of ash billowing tens of thousands of feet into the sky.
