Traumatized Dog Would Have Been ‘Unadoptable’ But Rescuers Take One Last Chance

Under-socialized dogs are fearful and have a lot of problems dealing with normal everyday things like going for a walk or being petted. Oftentimes, these dogs come from hoarding or puppy mill situations and many don’t make it because they are considered “unadoptable”.

Coconut was a puppy mill rescue and she needed help to heal if she was ever going to have a chance. When the ASPCA first rescued her, she wouldn’t let anyone touch her and didn’t want to be around people. But after just six weeks in their rehabilitation program she had transformed into a friendly, happy dog. It’s amazing how she went from no options to adoption!
