The principal at Whitmer High School was speaking to the students in the gym when he hears “Uptown Funk” blare through on the speakers. That was the cue for the teachers to usher him off the court and take center stage for an amazing flash mob dance routine.
It starts off with just a few teachers dancing, but as the catchy tune continues, more teachers rush onto the floor and join in. Then the administrative staff and school mascots join in too!
The students are thrilled every time one of the teachers breaks out and performs a special dance move. One even shows off “the worm” – flopping along the floor – and gets loud cheers from the student audience.
The surprise dance routine was part of the pep rally, with a goal to inspire enthusiasm among the students. I’d say mission accomplished!
