A stray dog and her puppies got lucky after a Good Samaritan spotted her and called Hope For Paws for help. She had just given birth hours before when Eldad Hagar arrived to rescue her.
Hagar immediately noticed she was an unusual dog – the rarest dog Hope for Paws has ever rescued – a Berger Picard. They are a French breed of herding dog. It didn’t take long for Summer (as her rescuers named her) to realize that they were there to help her and her pups.
She watched intently as they picked each of her pups out of the bushes and came out of the bushes when the last one was saved!
