Sometimes a simple gesture from a stranger can be a wonderful reminder of what you’re doing right in your life! This single dad was out for dinner with his 6-year-old daughter on Valentine’s Day when he got an unexpected surprise that brought tears to his eyes. He and his daughter were at the restaurant when a note arrived at their table.

The note read:
“Hi there!
Sorry to spy, but my husband and I saw you out with your little date and were so impressed with what a great Dad you are.
From two adults who grew up without dads, it’s so important to have a male role model at a young age.
Keep up the good work Dad!
Dinner is on us! “
The dad was touched by their kind gesture and posted a picture of the letter on Imgur and wished he could thank the couple. He wrote, “I won’t lie, I teared up at the table. So, thank you random strangers. Thank you.” Although he didn’t have a chance to to thank them in person, the couple’s kindness obviously affected him greatly.
