Dad’s Emotional Plea At Daughter’s Graveside Sends Powerful Message About Drunk Driving

This video is simply heartbreaking. Rick Ellis tragically lost his 6-year-old daughter Lindsey when a drunk driver who liked to party and get drunk got behind the wheel of a car.

Choked with emotion, Ellis says, “I’m going to show you something that is the end result of your partying on Friday nights, Saturday nights, whenever. Want to get drunk, play around, get stupid? This is what happens…”

Standing by her grave, Ellis then reveals something that shook me to the core. Written on the headstone are two names Christy M. Johnson Ellis and Lindsey Kay Ellis. The drunk driver who killed Lindsey was her own mother.

Ellis’ fervent wish is for those that need help to get it and for those that think that it’s OK to drink and drive to stop. “I hope there is some teenager or any adult out there that listens to the words I spoke that day…Please don’t be a victim, be a role model!”
