When Drew Smith saved a small dog named Carl from the shelter a few months ago, he had no way of knowing the dog would shortly return the favor.
Carl is naturally very quiet, so when he began barking inside his apartment his dad, Drew Smith, noted it but didn’t really know what to think about it. Although Carl remained restless, Drew went to sleep but was woken up by a frantic Carl a few hours later. Carl began licking him and barking and wouldn’t let him go back to sleep. It turns out Carl had sensed a hidden danger in the walls and ended up saving both their lives!
