One police officer’s act of kindness in the face of a heartbreaking tragedy has become the talk of a close-knit town. Seventeen-year-old Patrick Sullivan died in a car crash on New Year’s Day in Rockland, MA. His family and friends were devastated.
After Patrick’s wake, 22 of his friends went to a local restaurant. When they had finished and asked for the check, they discovered a police officer had already picked up the $400 tab and didn’t leave his name.
