Cop Takes 10 Orphaned Ducklings To A Pond And The Most Amazing Thing Happens

An Animal Control Officer in Southgate, Michigan stopped traffic in order to save ten ducklings that were abandoned and wandering across the freeway.

But what to do with these newly orphaned baby ducks? She placed them in a pet carrier and brought them to South Winds Golf Club where Chris Grandy, the gold pro on the course, knew exactly what to do.

“We put them in one of our ponds. Our pet duck, who we had named Stella, had hatched her family of nine 2 weeks ago near our cart shed, was swimming at the time,” Grandy wrote on Facebook along with posting the adorable video. “As soon as the officer put the babies in the water, without hesitation, Stella left her family and welcomed the new ones! Way to go Stella!”

“They lost their mom and now they got a new mom,” Grandy told FOX 2 News. “It was the most precious kind of thing I’ve ever witnessed. It was such a motherly thing.”
