Six years ago, Eric’s doctor told him to buy a funeral plaque as he would need one within the next 5 years because he was so overweight. But Eric says he’s still here because a shelter dog saved his life.
He reveals how he weighed 340 pounds and had blood pressure that was through the roof, Type II diabetes and social anxiety as result of his weight. Eric hit “rock bottom” when he was on a flight and someone ridiculed him.
That’s when he finally decided to do something about it. He connected with a nutritionist and she advised him to go adopt a shelter dog. The dog would force him to be active and go outside. So, Eric went to his local shelter and asked for an obese middle-age dog and met Peety. From that moment on, both their lives were about to change.
