Faced with cervical cancer at a young age, Emily Jordan had to undergo a radical hysterectomy, dashing her and her husband’s hopes of having a baby of their own. Or so they thought. Associated Press spoke with Emily and her family about the series of events that lead them to an unlikely surrogate, Emily’s own mother.
Emily’s mother, Cindy Reutzel, went on to have a beautiful, healthy, baby girl.
