This is probably the sweetest reunion video between a puppy and his rescuer that I’ve ever seen.
When a 4-month-old Staffordshire Terrier mix named Mojo was rescued, he was so weak, he couldn’t even eat. The poor puppy was covered with mange and had been surrendered to a shelter in Nova Scotia, Canada. When Joey Wagner, who runs Baie Ste. Marie Animal Society, saw Mojo he “knew he wanted to live”, so he decided to do everything he could to save him.
Mojo went to the vet immediately and after one week, he was ready to be taken home.

Clearly, dogs never forget the humans who are kind to them! The great news is that Joey adopted Mojo and made him a permanent member of his family.
Pupdate:
It’s been over 6 years since the night Joey got the fateful phone call about Mojo and the reunion that went on to become a viral sensation. But, years on, Mojo continues to help other pups just like him!
Today Mojo is very healthy and even though his fur never fully returned, he lives a very happy life with the Wagners and his furry siblings.
He continues to bring awareness to animal abuse and helps raise funds for Baie Ste Marie Animal Society through calendars and other merchandise.
He’s become a well-loved member of the community.
And he continues to have a loving bond with Joey to this day.
