Young Marine Tries To Adopt Brothers After Her Mother Is Jailed

This a touching story of courage and family love. Melissa is 21 years old and in the Marines. She turned her life around after a very difficult childhood. While she was growing up, Melissa’s mother was in and out of jail and she was in and out of foster care.

As result, Melissa has never lived with her two younger brothers, J.J. and Christian, who are currently in foster home. But she set out to reunite with her siblings no matter what. Although she has never lived with her brothers, she is determined to adopt them, especially after learning her mother recently tested positive for meth use.

Melissa was afraid that the judge would say she was too young and will not be able to afford to care for her brothers. She still decided to travel 2,000 miles to Alabama to plead with the judge to take her brothers home to California. And guess what? The judge said ‘yes’.

She’s followed on her journey by Prank It FWD, who paid for Melissa’s gas, one month’s rent, and also food for the road trip. The cameras are rolling when she surprises her brothers at their school and it’s a moment that’s sure to bring tears to your eyes.

When they return home Prank It FWD have another big surprise in store for the reunited family…
