A kitten stuck in the middle of a busy highway was perilously close to being crushed to death if it hadn’t been for one man who chose to stop when no one else would.
CCTV footage in Russia caught the dramatic rescue of the baby cat. In the footage, the tiny kitten can be seen huddling terrified in the middle of the road. Trucks and cars zoom by the kitten, barely missing him. Several trucks barrel right over top of the terrified animal. Finally, after a nail-biting minute a man stops, gets out of his car, and picks the tiny kitten up.
A Russian newspaper reported that the man’s name is Denis, and he lives in Kalingrad.
Denis told the paper that the kitten was so helpless that he was not even able to eat by himself. He took the kitten home to his kids and with the help of friends they found the cat a home.
