Aaron Franks came up with an incredibly special way to show his love for his dogs. Thankful for everything they have done for him, he decided to make his dogs a dog house, but it’s definitely not your typical dog house! After two years of effort, Aaron Franks transformed his home’s backyard into an amazing playground for his four Pit Bulls.
The family man shared his labor of love on social media for the world to see, and what he’s done has gone viral. That’s because the “dog house” as he calls it, is unlike any we’ve ever seen.
It’s more like a mansion – filled with areas for the dogs – Tessa, Bruno, Coupe, and Mia – to lounge, play, swim and hang out together.
The special play area is built in his backyard and it took him 2 years to build, but he says it was well worth it.
“Our dogs are a part our family and our dog house almost completes our home that we’ve been working on for 10 years,” Franks wrote on Facebook.
“I guess some people wouldn’t call it a dog house but that’s the shortest name I could come up with,” he wrote. “It’s a 3 storey play area…”
He added, “It has 3 entrances, it comes equipped with electricity, running water, 3 swings, in-ground pool, 2 security cameras, indoor staircase with ramp, fire hydrant, pirate ship wheel, access to food and water…”
There’s an area where they can go potty too. “It’s mulched where they do their business, has 3 rabbit escape holes…”
And there are places where they can just take a nap. Aaron says he made sure there are, “Plenty of spots to lounge in or out [of] the sun…”
There’s entertainment for his children too. He says, “My kids want me to put a flat screen out there so they can watch Animal Planet, but I don’t know, that might be too much…”
Aaron made sure to thank his wife for “being patient and understanding” and for pitching in, so he could finish painting it.
You can tell that he loves his dogs very much. And the dogs love him and their new “home”.
