Man Takes Street Art To A Whole New Level With His Optical Illusions

Imagine walking down the street, when all of a sudden, the sidewalk in front of you has opened up and some fantastical scene is presented right in front of you! If you’re lucky, you’ve walked right into one of Julian Beever’s works of art!

Julian creates mind-blowing and humorous 3D illusions on streets and sidewalks. With the pavement and surrounding architecture he draws anamorphic illusions. The pictures are drawn in a special distortion in order to create an impression of three dimensions when seen from a particular viewpoint.
