When passers-by spotted a dog stuck in the middle of a dangerous river, they did something that restored my faith in humanity. A man dropped down the steep incline to reach the dog trapped in the middle of the fast-flowing water.

He carried the dog over to the edge of embankment but was then faced with the challenge of how to get the dog back up to the top. That’s when a group of young men came up with a harrowing, but brave, solution.

Linking hands, they created a human chain until they could reach the dog and man in the river and pull them up the wall to safety.
A bystander on the other side of the river caught the heroic feat on camera. Watch the men in action below.
