Brothers Respond After Their Two Sisters With Down Syndrome Are Targeted With Act Of Hate

Confronting ignorance and hate is never easy. Now imagine being just 6 and 7 years old and doing it. That’s what the Hollis Boys did when they stood up for their sisters, Meg and Alina, who have Down Syndrome.

The Hollis family live in a small town in Central Illinois and woke one morning in April 2011 to find their home and cars had been vandalized. In the middle of the night someone sprayed painted the Hollis’ family’s home with profanities and phrases like “Retards” and “Get Out of Town”. After the terrifying act of vandalism, Meg and Alina’s brothers wanted to do something to speak up for their sisters!

MattyB also stood up for his sister also has Down Syndrome and dedicated his music video to her.
