A horse gave a beautiful farewell to his owner that left many mourners at the man’s funeral in tears. Wagner Lima died in a traffic accident at the age of 34 in Paraiba, Brazil. Lima’s brother thought that his horse, Sereno, should attend the funeral to say goodbye, as the two were very close.
When the vehicle carrying Lima’s casket pulled up at a gathering of mourners, Sereno seemed to sense that Lima was in the coffin. He reportedly smelled around the coffin before laying his head on it in a gesture of love and grief. And during the procession to the cemetery, he whimpered the entire time. Animals do truly grieve like humans!
