When The Foo Fighters took to the stage in Tokyo recently, they invited a special guest on stage to play with them and surprise the audience. Dave Grohl invited Rick Astley onstage to play an awesome rendition of his hit single ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’.
Some folks noticed that there is a healthy dose of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” in the live performance, especially in the drum introduction and guitar solo. To be fair, two of the band members were in Nirvana, and it’s probably the only time you’ll catch them interjecting a bit of Nirvana mashup in their music!
