It all began innocently enough. A young elephant named Zuri splashes water on a goose sitting in her enclosure at Utah’s Hogle Zoo. But the water doesn’t seem to do the trick and the goose challenges Zuri, leading to a tussle, with the goose standing his ground.
Perhaps the bird has a nest nearby? And you can’t blame the bird for wanting to stay by a nice pool of water and snacks he no doubt picks up from the zoo grounds.
But the tenacious goose doesn’t appear to know when to give up! Although, no animal was harmed during the encounter the video ends where it began with Zuri trying once again to splash the annoying goose.
Many people have commented that geese just seem to be the “jerks” of the animal world, and it is apparently not the first time Zuri has been annoyed with the geese and their pestering over the years.
