A Homeless Man Was Singing On The Streets Until He Met Two Swedish Musicians

The two musicians Jill Jonson and Magnus Carlson from Sweden were on a trip to Nashville and filming a television documentary when they were given a tip from a hot dog vendor to go and listen to Doug Seegers sing.

Doug is a man in his sixties, and up until recently, he only knew life on the streets. The homeless musician has performed and lived on the streets for many years.

When he sang his original song “Going Down To The River” Jill and Magnus were entranced. They teamed up with Doug and brought him into Johnny Cash’s old recording studio so they could record the song together.

The song would become a huge hit in Sweden and Doug was given a record deal as a result. Soon after, his first album would go gold and became a chart topper in that country.

What an amazing success story for this man with great musical talents!
