Griffin is a remarkable Golden Retriever who helps Clare Syversten with everything in her life.
Clare suffers from a degenerative tissue condition known as Ehlers Danlos syndrome that has confined her to a wheelchair. She says the slightest movement causes her joints to dislocate. Clare knew the moment she met Griffin, who trained as an assistance dog, her life was going to change.
Since then, her life has been totally different. Griffin helps her with almost everything from doing the laundry, crossing the street to shopping at the grocery store.
“Being a wheelchair user, people just ignore you when you go passed. Now, I’ve got Griffin. I’m now just another person, but a person with a dog. I’d be lost without him. He’s made everything happier,” Clare says.
