When James Kenison and his father Doug learned that three deer were stuck on a frozen lake, they set out to rescue the wild animals and had just the equipment to do it.
The owners of MedCity Hovercraft, the father and son ventured onto Minnesota’s Albert Lea Lake to save the stranded deer. A few of the deer were very far out from shore and had to be pulled back to safety. When James and Doug approached the deer, the deer were exhausted and sitting on the ice, their legs splayed out from being unable to walk on the slippery surface.
The compassionate rescue was captured on camera by James, who said he believed the deer had been out on the lake for days after being unable to walk on the slick ice.
