A man waiting in line at a Mexico butcher shop became an unwitting hero after he tackled an armed robber.
Surveillance video from the Carnes Cares butcher shop in Monterrey revealed the tense moment the unidentified man wearing a cowboy hat is confronted by a man wearing a hoodie.
The would-be robber points a handgun at the store clerk before turning the gun on the man in the cowboy hat. But it’s what happens next that has the Internet buzzing.
The thief briefly turns around when another customer who was at the back of the store comes forward.
The “cowboy” seizes the opportunity and jumps on the suspect’s back, knocking the gun out of his hand. Several store employees then join in, one is seen coming into frame and grabbing the gun off the floor.
The robber is then seen without his shirt (likely ripped off by one of the butcher employees) trying to flee, but he’s tackled by a second store employee.
The man is tackled down by the three men and according to local news reports, the would-be thief was taken into police custody.
