16-Year-Old’s Moving Performance On ‘America’s Got Talent’ Makes Howie Mandel Hit Golden Buzzer

The Singer from Patchogue, NY belts out The Jackson 5’s “Who’s Lovin’ You” and earns a Golden Buzzer from Howie Mandel.

When sixteen-year-old Christian Guardino took to the America’s Got Talent stage he admitted to the judges that he was nervous. But Simon Cowell tried to calm the teen’s jitters by telling him he had a “good feeling” about what was coming. And it turns out he was right as Christian launched into a powerful rendition of Jackson 5’s “Who’s Lovin’ You”. Judge Howie Mandel immediately got his feet (quickly followed by the audience), who was so excited to be listening to such a talent that he hit the coveted Golden Buzzer.

“I mean, what just happened?” judge Mel B. proclaimed after Christian had finished the song.

This isn’t the first time Christian has surprised people. Four years ago, Christian was blind. He received a medical treatment that gave him back his eyesight and he was profiled on a National Geographic special.

After Simon learned more about Christian’s back story, he was even more impressed with the teen saying, “You were like a little mouse that turned into a lion. You are one of my favorite contestants I’ve seen this year. Not only in terms of your voice. I just like you. There’s something about you, and it’s just the best possible feeling when we meet someone like you.”
