Diners Are Left In Tears After Seeing What A 5-Year-Old-Boy Does To Help A Homeless Man

Sometimes it takes a child to remind us to be kind and generous with one another. That’s what 5-year-old Josiah Duncan did at a local Waffle House in Alabama. He was at the restaurant with his mom, Ava Faulk, when he noticed a homeless man standing outside of the restaurant.

Confused by the man’s appearance, Josiah asked his mom lots of questions about the man. Ava explained to her son that the man was homeless. When Josiah realized the stranger did not have any food, he pleaded with his mom to buy him a meal.

Josiah and Ava brought the man inside the restaurant and offered to buy him whatever he wanted. Josiah brought the man a menu but it was what he did just before the man ate his burger that left the 11 diners in restaurant in tears.

Josiah insisted on saying a blessing with the man. Josiah sang the blessing as loud as he could: “God our Father, God our Father, we thank you, we thank you, for our many blessings, for our many blessings, Amen, Amen.”

“The man cried. I cried. Everybody cried,” Faulk admitted. Afterwards, the man quietly finished his meal and went on his way.

“Watching my son touch the 11 people in that Waffle House tonight will be forever one of the greatest accomplishments as a parent I’ll ever get to witness,” Ava told WSFA 12 News.
