Cameras Go Inside Nursing Home And Capture Effect Music Has On Alzheimer’s Patients

Alzheimer’s affects millions of people and yet most of us have very little knowledge of the terrible disease and what happens when someone enters a nursing home.

“Alive Inside” is an upcoming documentary directed by Michael Rossato-Bennett which provides an intimate look at those affected by the disease and how music is becoming recognized as an amazing new therapy treatment.

The director follows Dan Cohen, founder of the nonprofit organization Music & Memory, as he visits nursing homes and demonstrates music’s ability to combat memory loss and to restore a deep sense of self to those suffering from Alzheimer’s.

The film reveals the uniquely human connection we find in music and how its miraculous healing power can triumph where prescription medication falls short.

I was astounded at how uplifting and heartwarming these stories are from just watching the preview!
